Carer Kabamba Disability Services acknowledges and respects each individual’s values and beliefs. Our intake forms document whether the participant has any cultural preferences, language, and religious requirements. This information is used when support workers are allocated to support a participant. Our service currently includes participants from a range of cultural backgrounds. Our Policy document emphasises on this as well. Our Staff and support workers induction includes information on the importance of enabling participants to be supported when practicing their culture, values, and beliefs. Each participant’s freedom to practice and have their values and beliefs respected is embedded in our practice.
Our strategies to ensure equity for all participants include treating all people equally according to their human rights. We accept participants regardless of their background, ethnicity, culture, language, beliefs, gender, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, level of ability, additional needs, family structure or lifestyle. We promote inclusive practices to ensure the successful involvement of participants.
Our support starts within 48 hours after requests are received online or in person. We offer a wide range of high-quality in-home support and community access services flexible enough to suit your needs from social, overnight support, respite care or domestic help. We deliver our services to all age groups from 7-over 65 years.

Advocacy
We recognise that a Participant is entitled to appoint an Advocate of their choice to be involved in the service planning and monitoring of their support service delivery.
Bullying harassment and discrimination
All our disability support services are provided in a safe, flexible, and respectful environment free from all forms of bullying, harassment, and discrimination.
Complaint Management
It is the right of our Participants and/or Staff to raise concerns regarding service delivery without fear of retribution. Carer Kabamba takes all complaints seriously, treats all people fairly and completes all corrective actions in a timely manner.

All team members are obligated to divulge any conflicts of interest to ensure they are managed effectively and timely.
